Fish Crow
Corvus ossifragus
A completely black bird, this species is almost identical in appearance to the American Crow and the two can even sometimes flock together. Generally, Fish Crows are more likely to be found near water and along the coast. Their call may be the best way to tell these two birds apart. The American Crow produces the iconic caw-caw while Fish Crows utter a double note uh-uh sound, almost as if the former has a cold and is speaking through a stuffy nose.
