Tundra Swan

Cygnus columbianus Nov–Feb

Native to North America, these long distance migrants travel south from the Arctic for the winter and can be seen in various states along the east coast of the US including Rhode Island. They have white bodies with a black bill and a small yellow spot in between the bill and the eye.
